1/35 scale. Krupp 420mm Big Bertha German Empire. Takom. Big Bertha (in German, "Dicke Bertha" - literal translation "Fat [or heavy] Bertha") is the name of a type of super-heavy howitzer developed by the armaments manufacturer Krupp in Germany on the eve of World War I. Kit features highly detailed exterior, multi-piece short naval gun with detailed gun assemblies, one-piece gun shield, gun can elevate and depress, two-piece 42cm shell, detailed platforms and crane, brass chain for railing, one-piece ladders. Painting reference for three (3) schemes: German Army, WWI Unknown Unit; German Army, WWI Unknown Unit, Verdum Battle, 1916 and Alberdeen Proving Grounds after the war, 1919.
